Meet the Team \u2013 Andreas Frese<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Within the EMHA Group, Andreas Frese holds the position of Business Unit Manager Germany. In this role, he represents EMHA in Germany and serves as Managing Director of EMHA GmbH Germany.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cI am responsible for representing EMHA in Germany and for the overall management of our German organization.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What Andreas particularly values is working in a small, agile team, something that strongly contrasts with the start of his career.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cI began my engineering career at Daimler Chrysler, at a plant with around 2,500 employees and roughly 250,000 people worldwide. In such a large corporation. The fast-paced environment of a large company just wasn’t a good fit for me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

At EMHA, his daily work is defined by variety and hands\u2011on involvement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cOne day you\u2019re wearing a suit and tie, discussing topics with the purchasing department of a shipyard or refinery. The next day you\u2019re on site in your workwear, supporting a job or carrying out a site visit for a quotation. No two days are the same, and that\u2019s exactly what I enjoy about my role.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What drives him at work?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Andreas draws energy mainly from solving technical challenges together with others.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cI really enjoy working with fellow professionals to develop technical solutions for our customers, using our special materials and tools. Especially the collaboration with my colleagues in Germany and the Netherlands makes the job both effective and enjoyable. Finding a good solution together, often quickly, is very rewarding.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If he could have one superpower at work, what would it be?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Without hesitation: greater personal resilience.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cA stronger ability to deal with global developments, which in many cases have a direct impact on our business. Covid, the sharp rise in material prices afterwards, the war in Ukraine and its effect on gas prices, or geopolitical tensions influencing oil prices, all of this affects our daily business significantly.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

His personal wish?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cA more relaxed mindset, allowing me to handle these external pressures more calmly.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Which music always gets him moving?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Music is an important way for Andreas to unwind. He is a big fan of classic rock.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cBands like Led Zeppelin, AC\/DC, Pink Floyd, Boston and Supertramp always put me in a good mood. To me, these are real musicians and artists.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

He also plays music himself, as a guitarist and bass player in his rock band \u2018Roice\u2019.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the best way for me to relax after a sometimes hectic working week.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In addition, he has a strong passion for motorbikes and mountain bikes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cRepairing, restoring and going on tours, both on\u2011 and off\u2011road. It\u2019s the perfect way to clear my head.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
