For this specialist assignment, the coating is applied to protect the axles against external influences and seawater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think of growth by micro-organisms in the water, but also damage to the shafts by cavitation when the shafts are rotating but unprotected in the water. In a machine factory we provided the shafts installed in a lathe machine with a coating in combination with glass tape.
