The measurements were taken during a sea trial in the North Sea. The vibration and noise levels were all within the specified standards, meaning the vessel is ready for classification and delivery.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Situation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Holland Shipyards Group required objective validation of the noise and vibration levels on board a newly built cement tanker. During the official sea trial, it had to be demonstrated that the vessel complies with the applicable international standards for crew comfort and safety, in support of delivery and classification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our contribution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our colleagues boarded the vessel last summer during the sea trial in the North Sea and carried out extensive noise and vibration measurements. The measurements were taken at<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>80% MCR for noise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100% MCR for vibration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Measurements were carried out in all relevant technical spaces and accommodation areas. The measurement data was analysed using calibrated and certified measuring equipment, after which a detailed report was drawn up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The measurements show that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All noise levels are well within the applicable standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The measured vibration levels in the accommodation areas are low (RMS &lt; 1 mm\/s) and can be considered comfortable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The conclusion is that this tanker complies with international requirements for noise and vibration and provides a comfortable and safe working environment for the crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
