Back to projects

A client in the baking industry had an ammonia pipe that had corroded over the years. The continuity of the production process could no longer be guaranteed, and leakage would, of course, have major environmental consequences, something our client always seeks to avoid. Moreover, the installation could no longer be approved by external inspection bodies.

Time is always an issue when replacing pipes that are essential to production. Therefore, EMHA scanned the entire pipe run to create a 3D model, in which a new pipe was designed. This pipe (fabricated in grade 316 stainless steel) was then produced in our workshop, including all the bends and supports.

This allowed for fast, efficient and safe on-site installation with minimal downtime for the plant.
