Are you the kind of person who believes “measurement is key”? As an Alignment Specialist, you know that precision down to the smallest detail matters. With over 50 years of experience in aligning propulsion systems and rotating equipment, EMHA is looking to strengthen its team. Together with our 3D survey, Noise & Vibration, and Diagnostics departments, you help solve complex challenges and bring additional expertise in vibration and noise to our service team.

  • MBO level 4 work and thinking capability in mechanical engineering or relevant work experience
  • Experience with alignment and/or fitting tasks in the maritime and/or industrial sectors
  • Organizational and technical insight
  • Accuracy and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility for overtime and weekend work – with excellent compensation, of course

For over 50 years, EMHA has been a leader in aligning propulsion systems and rotating equipment, and we are seeking experienced professionals to join our team. Through our unique departments—3D Survey, Noise & Vibration, and Diagnostics—we take problem-solving for our clients to the next level. Your expertise and experience will add even greater value to our service department specializing in vibration and noise.

Your Role

At EMHA, you’ll work with the best measuring tools to perform your tasks as precisely as possible. While you already have experience as an alignment specialist, there’s always room to master new methods and techniques. Most of your work will take place in the ARA triangle (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp), but the exciting projects also extend abroad. While your focus is on work, you’ll have the chance to see different parts of the world where your expertise is highly sought after.

Your Responsibilities

  • Gap/Sag alignment of propeller shafts.
  • 1- and 2-axis straightness measurements.
  • Flatness measurements and interpreting shaft alignment calculations.
