• EMHA provides comprehensive support to Royal Hakvoort Shipyard throughout the entire process. Among other things, we advise on the flexible mounting of propulsion systems and generator sets, and carry out torsional vibration calculations for both the main propulsion system and auxiliary systems. In addition, we analyse axial and lateral vibrations of propeller shafts and carry out structural vibration analyses on relevant parts of the ship.
• We also identify secondary noise sources and develop comprehensive insulation plans covering acoustics, fire safety and thermal properties. We draw up noise forecasts in advance to substantiate the expected comfort level. Throughout the project, we maintain active consultation with the shipyard and carry out additional measurements, such as acoustic privacy tests.
• To validate the advice, our specialists carry out extensive measurements during sea trials, including shaft power, torsion, noise and vibration measurements. This completes the cycle from design to verification.
