Back to working at EMHA

Are you an experienced technician with an eye for detail and a passion for metalworking? Do you want to work with the best on-site machine park and tackling the most challenging constructions with your expertise? Then this is your opportunity.

What will you do?

In other words: what does your working day look like?

You’re already familiar with machining techniques such as boring, turning, milling, (line) drilling, or threading. But maybe you’re missing challenge, variety, or appreciation. At EMHA, you’ll find all three.

As an On-site Machining Technician, you’ll take our mobile machines to work in ever-changing environments: shipyards, bridges, power plants, offshore installations, and international projects. Together with engineers, planners, and fellow technicians, you’ll create a plan and ensure the work is executed to the finest detail on-site. You’ll solve technical challenges and advise clients on the best solutions. None days are the same—and that’s what makes this role so exciting. If you’re a proud craftsman of precision and quality, you’ll find projects here where your skills truly shine.

Your work environment

A glimp into your workplace and team

On Monday, you’ll join your college technicians to repair a gearbox in a power plant. Thanks to your precision, the plant is soon running at full capacity again. Two weeks later, you’ll head with your team to Norway for a week to machine parts of an offshore platform. By day, you’ll be working with our high-tech mobile machines; by night you will enjoy the local cuisine with colleagues. Back home, you’ll guide a younger colleague at a shipyard who’s performing his first line-boring job independently. You see their enthusiasm, they learn from your expertise, and together you lift both the project and the team to the next level.

What should you be able (or willing) to do

  • Organizational and communication skills: you work in a structured way and guide both colleagues and clients through the project.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends, with proper allowances.
  • A healthy curiosity for new techniques and projects.
