We are regularly asked to redesign an existing pump base frame so it can be fitted with a new type of motor. Because the dimensions of the new motor often differ from those of the old one, it does not fit on the existing base frame and, above all, does not fit on the foundation either. The centre line is also often different, which means the existing base frame also needs to be raised.
After on-site measurements, EMHA produces a new foundation design. New machined plates or a steel structure are installed on top of the existing base frame. This construction is then raised using temporary adjustable elements, after which everything is covered with Chockfast high-strength epoxy grouting. With the anchor bolts designed by EMHA, the soleplates and Chockfast middle layer are integrated into the underlying foundation as a monolithic whole.
