EMHA was involved in the propeller shaft design for a newbuild inland tanker for Union Shipping. Our expertise and knowledge related to propulsion installations combined with in-house engineering and CAD design capabilities resulted in a design package submitted to class society.

The services EMHA performed includes: design of the propeller shaft as per BV Rules, verification of coupling flange connection to gearbox, selection of main and stern tube bearings. EMHA also made production drawings of the propeller shaft, coupling flange as well as the machining drawing for the stern tube.
